The Dreaded Tech Drawer

Does your tech drawer look like this?  Or worse, your tech-related chargers are all over your house and car?  Now consider all the new stuff that you will see over the upcoming holidays.

Technology is great, when it brings us joy or usefulness, not when we are stressed out by it.  When you have a cell phone, a tablet, a computer, earbuds, an e-reader, etc., multiplied by all of your family members, it is nearly impossible to keep track of all those related chargers, batteries, cords, earbuds, etc. (now collectively called “tech”). Organizing your tech will keep you sane, I promise you. Here are three tips that won't steer you wrong.

Tip #1 - Consolidate

Consolidate all the extra “tech” in one central location.  Having a “go to” location will be a future favor for yourself.

Tip #2 - Tame the Mess

Tame the mess by (i) eliminating duplicate or outdated tech, (ii) minimizing the size of the tech by collapsing items down in a similar fashion, and (iii) label various tech so you can easily locate what you need.

Tip #3 - Divide and Separate

Divide and separate like-with-like into defined bins or trays. You can organize by tech type or family member, whatever makes the most sense for your household.
